What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find the Utah Field House Museum to be a fantastic and affordable destination, particularly for families with children interested in dinosaurs. The exhibits are well-presented, with impressive fossil displays and interactive elements. However, some reviews mention issues with unsupervised children disrupting the experience.
"Great, compact museum with fun dioramas, a lot of fossils, and some neat displays. We enjoyed the display of indigenous clothing. What made the museum unbearable, though, were the amount of unsupervised children running an absolute muck around the building. A mother and grandmother with two blonde twin girls were allowing them to actually climb into displays and on top of equipment. Another couple let their little boy climb into another display area.
People with children - no one else likes your kids ruining their museum experience. Teach your kids to respect educational spaces and not touch everything and run free (that’s what their house and the park is for)."

"For the size of the town, this is fantastic. Don’t expect a big city equivalent. Spent 90 minutes here. Focus is heavily on the dinosaurs and fossils found in the area. Interactive digs for kids. Inside section takes you through about 6-7 separate smalllish rooms with different themed exhibits. Outside is a dinosaur trail that goes halfway around the building."

"Who could hate an awesome museum about dinosaurs?
We got into town late and only had 50 minutes to run through the museum before it closed. Museum staff were incredibly kind and welcoming.
We saw the outdoor dinosaur garden, all the fossils, and learned a lot about the geologic history of the area and the incredible organisms that once roamed the earth! There were plenty of dinosaur fossils to marvel at, glowing minerals to admire, and placards to learn more than you could ever remember from.
Definitely a must stop on a trip to vernal for kids and adults of all ages"
