Spring tap

I just moved to the area. When I was a kid I spent a lot of time in middle TN. There were taps out of the mountains you could get water. Often it had like a pull off where people could park. I've searched but probably not using the right key words. Are there any of these in…

Fall foliage and camping recommendations?

Hi everyone, I'm thinking of taking my family up to Cherokee National Forest sometime in October to do some dispersed camping and to hopefully catch some fall color. My wife is English and I'd hoped to show off some American beauty, but we'd definitely like to avoid massive…

Some note the lack of wheelchair accessibility and the need for visitors to pack out their trash.

"This is an absolutely beautiful place. At this time, however, it is being rebuilt due to hurricane Helene. This weather event has destroyed all of this beautiful place and a lot of other areas in the town of Erwin in which this park resides. Please be patient as they restore this area and visit as much as you can once they are done. I will be going back to the park possibly this weekend and getting some updated photo's, can't wait to share the progress with you all..."

"We are new to town and we're looking for some creeks to check out. This creek definitely did not disappoint we will be spending a good amount of time here.

Update: went back this morning for some me time. It was a beautiful morning and I was the only one there which was a bonus. I went and sat on a rock in the creek and just took in nature. I did find some twisted tea cans that were left behind, which I disposed of. Please clean up after yourself."

Brandi McAdams

"Was one of my favorite places to go to the nolichucky River and have picnics, swim, canoe, et cetera. Now it is completely washed away and no longer exists. I'm so sad to see this place go as I'm sure many other people are as well."
