What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Beauty Spot's stunning 360-degree mountain views and its accessibility, calling it a 'hidden gem.' It's praised as an ideal spot for picnics, elopements, and watching sunsets. However, some note that it can get very crowded on weekends, losing its serene charm.
"The Beauty Spot is almost a hidden gem. I've officiated many weddings/elopements here because of the overlook of mountains, trails, and it's not always too overrun with tourists. A quiet elopement with just a few people is perfect without it feeling crowded. We saw no one else on the weekday morning but I've taken my kids on the weekend when it almost looked like a carnival. The roads were great as of 7/21/25. I would be honored to officiate another elopement here anytime! Sincerely Joshua Maples Wedding Officiant"

"Easy access. Two miles of decent gravel road to get here from the pavement. Great 360 degree views. A short walk to the top from the parking lot. Bring bug spray. Also a great spot to watch the night sky. The Appalachian Trail passes through here."

"Beautiful, along the AT. People drive up here for picnics in the grassy areas where hikers sleep at night. Very scenic, gravel parking for about 10 cars."
