"Nice beach with a nice looking restrooms/outdoor shower and a free parking lot. Super easy to get to and very short walk to the water. Lots of lizards in the parking lot! Not sure if it was the tide and the time of day, but a big undertow as there is a steep drop off in the water. No one was in the water in the area. The beach itself was clean and nice, just not a place it seemed would be good to be in the water."

Yes, the sand is not very beautiful, but... free parking, palm trees with coconuts, a toilet, and most importantly there is a shower (when you come from the beach you can wash off the sea salt."

"I went this past July and as you can see, the beach was not crowded at all. During early morns and even throughout the day, dolphin activity can be spotted here. That was fun. However, when I went to the beach to watch the sunrise, I did see sharks gliding along the shore feeding as well. Now, the sharks that I saw were not big, but big enough to keep me out of the water. Lol.
I did go to Jenson beach, which was maybe a 20 min drive from this beach. Upon arrival, it was storming and lightning so ended up leaving. I did note that that beach was certainly busier than South Beach Park.
Also, do bring bug spray as the midges are terrible early morning and at dusk.
But I’d definitely go back! The area is lovely and fresh coconut can be found right on the ground. Oh, and one more thing, there were African Redhead Agama lizards everywhere at the South Beach area. They weren’t aggressive by any means, just wanted to give a heads up to all those who are scared/do not like lizards."
