"A fantastic historical gem I found and apparently it has been here all along and I have been vacationing on the SC coast all my life and I am in my 50's! I absolutely love history like this. The houses (both of them) are beautiful and the guide we had (Jeannie) was very informative. She told us all about the Baruch family and then answered any questions our group had. I highly recommend going to this place!"

"We took the two-hour tour. Everyone we encountered were quite welcoming and appreciative of our visit. The staff was mostly volunteer. The property gave a excellent historical perspective on the area. The story of the family that owned the property was also interesting. The property was visited multiple times by Winston Churchill and was also visited by presidents and other important people of the day. It was also interesting to see how the african american workers lived. The tour and visit took about 2 1/2 hours. I recommend this tour."
