Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Russell Park for its beautiful scenery, shaded hiking trails, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for family outings and camping. The availability of covered picnic tables with grills is a significant plus. However, some find the pebble beach less appealing than sandy ones, and campsites can be close together, leading to noise concerns.

"It's a nice park over all and beautiful scenery and hiking trails. Camping sites are nice and mostly shaded. It does have a beach/swimming area but it is small and not sand but pebbles. Lots of recreational seating and public bathrooms."

"Lots to do, fun day with the family! We don’t like crowds so we went before the holiday hit and it was perfect! By the way, lots of fish, big fish jumping, wish I didn’t forget my pole."

Danny Strong

"We loved camping here!

Day use and camping sites both have these great covered picnic tables. Most water-side sites have a peek-a-boo water view and parallel parking. Lots of shade! Camping restroom has two toilets stalls and two shower stalls, bring your own soap. Shared water spigot at the restroom building. Park host was present and helpful when my after-hours vehicle tag showed incorrect check out date. Shelters available too, just bring your own mattress! Check out time is 2pm, woohoo.

I will say, sites are close together, we could hear every word of both neighbors' conversations. Lots of random well- camouflaged rocks around so careful for ankle rolls and triple peek your tent spot! Also, cactus."
