Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Halfway Brook Trail for its easy, well-maintained path, making it a relaxing escape into nature. The picturesque bridge over the brook and the shaded woodland are frequently highlighted as enjoyable features. While some note the presence of confusing unmarked paths, the main trail is considered a great option for families, dog walkers, and casual hikers.

"Halfway Brook is a nice muti-recreational trail in Queensbury, NY. The trail is a fairly easy to follow wide stone path that is 1.2 miles long. The terrain is mostly flat with only a few small hills. The most scenic part is the bridge that crosses Halfway Brook.
There are two separate parking areas for the trail. One is located on Potter Road and the other is located on Peggy Ann Road. The trails at Halfway Brook also connect to the nearby Rush Pond Trail.
While using the main trail you will notice many herd paths or unmarked trails alongside. Most of these paths connect back to the main trail. They are easy to follow, but since there are so many they really should be marked to avoid people getting lost or confused. If you’re new to the trail it is best to just stay on the main trail.
Overall, Halfway Brook provides relaxation and a nice escape into nature."

"Looking for a quiet easy trail to meander or galavant? This trail is 1.2 miles long. Well groomed and kept. Two open trailheads that lead to one another. Beautiful hand built bridge to cross the babbling brook you seamlessly follow alongside. Different flowers and fungus to see as you travel. Including pink lady slippers, red columbine and earthstars if you look around carefully. Shaded wonderfully with foliage all around. Recommended for small jogs and small feet. Nice for a starter trail with kids."

Sherry Livant

"Took a walk down and back this trail for the first time this afternoon. Great little walk to stretch the legs, couple big hills but flat for the most part. Lots of little "herd paths" veering off every which way. All in all, very pretty!

Can connect onto the Rush Pond trail as well, making for a nice long walk."
