"My mom and I spent a couple hours on a Saturday exploring out the Connecticut museum of culture and history, which we had both never been to before! The architecture of the building was pretty cool, as it used to be an old mansion. It took us about 2 hours to get through everything. Their permanent exhibit on the inn and tavern signs was cool to look at, and we enjoyed their current exhibit on coffee. There’s interactive experiences for all ages, and I’m so glad we visited. Highly recommend going to learn more about CT’s history!"

"Beautiful building, nice space, plenty of parking, courteous staff, clean restrooms, thoughtful exhibits, child friendly, educational, listened to violinist and a fiddler with over 60 years of experience, smelled spices from the West Indies, saw coffee, sewing, slavery, and tavern sign exhibits. Lots of great information. Not overly thrilling but interesting and rich history. It’s not anything to be compared to the British Museum, any Smithsonian’s in DC, or museums in NY but it is certainly one of the nicest ones I’ve been to in CT in that it is modern, clean, visually appealing, and spacious. I was glad I didn’t pay for it. But I was glad to have visited."
