About to move to Lexington Park. What is there to do within an hour and a half drive? I know there's not a ton in the town itself.
I like music, skateboarding, watching movies, and meeting people.

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Historic Sotterley for its informative tours and the dedication of its guides, who bring the plantation's complex history to life. While the legacy of slavery is a somber aspect, many find the nuanced approach to storytelling, including the perspectives of descendants, to be particularly impactful and educational. The beautiful grounds also add to the overall positive experience.
"Southern MD born and raised, but never knew this place existed! Although some of the truths of the past were very saddening, was still cool to experience this and learn about Sotterley's history. Tour guide was great. Thank you!"

"We (St. Mary's County Amateur Radio Association) "rented" the barn for Amateur Radio ARRL Field Day which happens once a year . The club has been doing this for a few years now. The entire property is a great place to visit and the people running it are great. We hope to go back year after year. We encourage the public to visit us when we are there. Amateur radio will still be standing if all other communications are down. It cannot fail, not like the infrastructure of cell, internet, GPS, etc.
There was plenty of parking, plenty of room and trees to put up antennas, plenty of room inside to setup multiple stations, and the building was air conditioned. Does it get much better?"

"Was invited to this location by way of my children school for a walking fundraiser. I was caught of guard and pretty much stayed in that limbo until we left. This is Americas history. The Good bad and the ugly!"
