"Sublime hike. Much easier than people it make to look and sound. We took around 4 hours round trip and honestly it was not hard, so don't listen to people saying it's the hardest hike ever. If you are in a good shape it's easy despite of all sand etc.
Camped overnight at one of the beautiful spots overlooking the canyon and did an evening hike. We did it in July and it was not that hot, a lot of the trail is in the shade of the canyon.

Prepare for the hike. People get in trouble here
The hike goes past Dino tracks at the start then descends 750feet into the canyon . Dunes with wildlife are on both sides along with great views. Trail is well marked. 4 hours is just enough for lots of pics but stay a little longer"
