What Travellers Say
"I don't know why people are saying that this isn't a dog park. Lot's of people bring there dogs here to play. Also, someone wrote that there is no access to the water. One reviewer said it is closed on weekdays during the summer. Both are not true. It is located on the Long Island Sound. I've been bringing my dogs here for 23 years. While it's true there is no fence, if your dog is a roamer, use a leash. That being said, this is a gigantic field with access to the Long Island Sound and is boarded on both sides by woods. My newfoundland loves to swim here and play with all the other dogs. Like any dog park, don't come if you have an aggressive or fearful dog or one that does not play well with others. Otherwise, this is probably the best park for dogs in the Huntington area. Bring water on hot days."
