How is Kennesaw Mountain for a first time hiker? What are your favorite Atlanta trails?
I need to get active and I feel like hiking would be more fun to me than going to the gym and running on a treadmill. I've never hiked before. Kennesaw Mountain is within minutes of my apartment so I thought I'd start there.

My view from my hike up Kennesaw Mountain last night. Hard to believe that this is only 30 minutes away from downtown Atlanta! Well, traffic permitting (which it usually isn't).
Awesome! I've heard great things about Kennesaw Mountain, it's pretty close to where I am, so I will definitely check it out!

"I love coming to Kennesaw Mountain for the hiking. I took my dog Flo who has a wonderful time and the mile hike up was not too hard for her even with her being a little older. Super close to my apartment only a 10-15min drive from Smryna/Marietta area. I look forward to more adventures here. The staff also gave me my military pass despite me forgetting my wallet at home. Super helpful and friendly."
