What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mount Helix Park is widely praised as a hidden gem offering spectacular panoramic views of San Diego. Visitors appreciate the free entry, scenic drive, and the iconic cross. However, the extremely limited parking at the summit is a recurring point of dissatisfaction.
"I've lived in San Diego for 25 years and this was my first visit to Mt Helix. I've been missing out! The panoramic views from Mt Helix Park are spectacular. You can drive all the way up to the park, but there is also a bicycle lane leading up the hill that many also hike up, if you're looking for exercise. There are a few short, dirt trails around the park, but nothing that provides much exercise. Now I've discovered this beautiful part of San Diego, I'll definitely be back. It's also now on my l Iist of places to take visitors."

"Views are great, parking sucks. About enough space for 7 vehicles. All the parking on the side is gone (haven't been here for about 8yrs)."

"An amazing place. Great view of the surrounding areas, great little spot-park on the top of the hill, beautiful cross on the top and a scenic road leading to it. Only reason I give 4 stars is that every surrounding area of the park is private property where you can not even park on the side of the road. Too many restirctions as far as stopping somewhere to enjoy the area."
