Reviews Summary

Fishtown Leland is widely praised for its unique historic charm and picturesque waterfront, offering a delightful escape that feels distinct from typical Michigan scenery. Visitors rave about the delicious sandwiches and fresh smoked fish, as well as the quaint shops. However, parking can be extremely difficult to find, especially during peak tourist season, and the area can get quite crowded.

"Looks better on social media than it does in person. Cool place to see but hardly anything to do unless you wanna eat food or ice cream. You could maybe spend a few hours if you include the lackluster beach which you have to walk down the street to get to anyway. Really disappointing for a place that comes highly recomended. Totally overrated if you ask me. I really wanted to like it too but not really much of a destination. It could be so much more."

Adam Reason

"Such a cool spot full of life and history. It's fun to walk around or sit down and take it all in. Must stop at Carsons for some smoked Salmon! Yum! Id hope to bring some home, it was gone before my next stop!

If you are a fan of cemeteries, there is one just down the road right in the lake that is quite unique!"

Thomas Capps

"Small shops. Parking is almost impossible to find. No handicap spots noted. Plus side, the Harbor ice cream shop is well worth the trip! Butter Pecan that tastes like butter and enough pecans to bake a pie. Yummy. The young staff were so kind and gracious."
