What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise the Matchless Mine for its fascinating history and the exceptional quality of its guided tours, particularly highlighting guides like Brenda for their engaging storytelling. However, some find the pricing a bit steep for the self-guided experience, and the cash-only policy can be an inconvenience.
"$10pp for a self guided tour or $15pp for a guided tour. The tour does not include entry into the mine, at all. The tour includes walking from printed display to printed display, most of which are outside. There are two structures, one of which was where the owner of the mine lived for some time, and the other has more materials used in the mining/metal evaluation process. I think the price for what you get is a bit steep; there are (free) stops on the side of the road that offer more than this place.
The people working here are nice enough, and they do offer some discounts ($.50 off) but yeah... There isn't much to this place."
