What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge for its beautiful, peaceful vistas and abundant birdlife, especially during the snow goose migration. The well-maintained boardwalk trail offers excellent observation points. However, summer visits can be challenging due to mosquitoes, and public access to the beach is limited.
"Beautiful vista, with lots of marsh water, reeds, and birds. They have boardwalks where you can set up your camera or observe the many many birds that are in this location. The walks are relatively short but I suppose you could go as far as you choose. I went there for the bird watching but the peaceful setting is worth a trip right off of Route 1"

"An absolute gem of a place in Delaware, didn't get the chance to do all of the trails, but the ones I did were immaculate and well maintained. You will need insect repellent during the summer or you will get eaten alive, after all it is a marsh which is a mosquito haven."
fishooked
"No public access to the three miles of sandy beach.
There is a short boardwalk thru part of the marsh area. I believe you can launch a kayak in to the marsh area."
