"North Bar has been a favorite place since moving to the area 25 years ago. There is a wooded path from the parking area that takes you to bar lake and then the beautful opening to Lake MI.
Note: When using GPS, continue on pavement until you see the wooden sign for North Bar. The GPS may ask you to stop at a gate that is a road side two track. This will get you to the lake eventually, but small children will get angry. Most recent stories have been told of small humans sitting in the middle of this lost trail, demanding snacks and refusing to go any further:)
After arrival to the paved parking, there are port potties available and a small walk gets you to Bar Lake. Walking around this lake, takes you to the beautiful Lake Michigan.
Enjoy"
