What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Flanagan Lake is praised as a beautiful spot for outdoor activities, particularly its scenic walking trails and water recreation options like kayaking and fishing. Visitors appreciate the convenience of rentals and the picturesque sunsets. However, the lack of shade on the trails and potential for wind are noted drawbacks, especially during summer and colder months.
"Very nice day out. There's not too much wind, but it was a little cold. It was 36 degrees when I started and 40 when I finished. I went 5.47 mi 1h 36m. The path is all concrete. There is no shade at all on the trail, so summer would get hot. There is boating and fishing. There is a bald eagle nest with signs, but I didn't see any. There were benches all around the lake to rest. There was a place to cross over at the bridge to cut your hike in half."

"The trail around Flanagan lake is very windy and cold. Be ready to wear layers. There are barely any trees, and not enough shade in summer. I like that there is a bridge, and I can walk for 2.5 miles instead of 5.5 miles. There is currently ongoing construction in many areas around the lake and by the trail. The trail is 5.5 miles long. Edit: the bathrooms are currently open. Neat and clean on 168 and Fort Street parking:)"
