I can tell you that when I had my first sit down, one-on-one meeting with Pastor Dave, it was about having my son baptized at Palm Valley. Instead of being kind and straight forward, I left the meeting thinking Dave was manipulative. We ended up asking our family to drive to Dallas so we could baptize our son at my childhood church.
A former family left during COVID because Dave was aggressive toward them at a council meeting when his opinion differed from Dave’s.
And from another member (who is currently church shopping): There’s been a lot more communication about money than about bible studies and small groups. It seems like this Pastor wants to lead a mega church."
