What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Hannah Robinson Tower a solid and safe structure with a compelling historical story. While the climb is sturdy, some note that surrounding trees have diminished the panoramic views compared to the past. The site has experienced some graffiti, but community cleanups are appreciated. It's a worthwhile stop for those who don't mind stairs and are interested in local lore.
"Cool spot. I'm sure it was nicer years ago, as kids have tagged the place up. Small parking lot, busy intersection."

"This was disappointing. The location is a p.i.t.a. to get to. The parking was fine. The CLIMB up the steps was not expected. I've climbed most of the lighthouses on the east coast, which most are much taller than this, the steps of those lighthouses are a pleasant walk compared to this. And the payoff of the view... go check out the aforementioned lighthouses. The view was OK. It is autumn, so there are fewer leaves in the trees, so the view is probably better now than in summer. If you're bored, don't mind stairs, don't have bad knees or vertigo. It IS solidly built. There are secure handrails that I recommend you use, especially coming down. Maybe if they had a zipline for coming down, over Rt 1 to the Dunkin!"

"Probably a very cool tower back in the day. The world went forward and built a highway next to it, youth wrote all over it...its worth a walk up to pay the structure respect."

This act of defiance, while a testament to her love, marked a significant turning point in her life and the family's narrative. The tower, built nearly 200 years after her time, serves as a lasting tribute to her story.
While the tower is a monument to this romance, some visitors have noted that the area around it has seen its share of graffiti and litter over the years. However, community efforts, like volunteer cleanups, aim to preserve the site's integrity and honor Hannah's memory.
Climbing the Tower: What to Expect
