"Beautiful old trees in middle of city. Local trail feel with hard dirt path. Going down are Wooden stairs holding dirt in place, as it gets steep in areas. My little terrier managed the stairs fine, he had to jump up on them to get back up the trail.
At the bottom is a pretty stream just off the trail and opens up to a side road that leads to Ruston Way. Nice cool breeze on a summer day!

"Great hike for adults and kids alike. Coming back up got a trickle of sweat out of me but it wasn't too hard for the 7year old. This trail will take you out to Ruston waterfront. Beautiful views but easily done."

"First half mile smelled a little like a sewer. Trail options such as parking up top and using the switchbacks after walking a large loop through Ruston.
