"It is a beautiful place, quiet and plenty of place to park.
One thing to suggest is to have more trash cans, because during the weekend lots of people gather by the lake and very limited trash cans available.
The gift shop is very small but has tons of things to buy with reasonable prices.
The tour to the mansion is great, tons of interesting information you gain and lots of things to see. Kelly was a docent who walked us through the whole mansion and explained everything. She was very knowledgeable and kind.
Overall it is a nice place to spend a day and enjoy the weather and beautiful views."

"This part of the Tahoe forest is phenomenal, not just for the majestic sugar pines! Trails wind through massive, diverse conifers in a huge chunk of Tahoe. Some of the cedars here are kinda even more impressive than the namesake sugar pines! Lots of young and old growth trees can be found here of almost all of the conifer species that grow in the Tahoe basin! Always love slowly wandering through this park looking up, mesmerized at all the spectacular specimens of Tahoe trees, each with their own story spanning sometimes centuries. For tree lovers, this park is good for the soul."
