What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the incredible beauty of the Thousand Palms Oasis, a lush palm grove thriving in the desert. The unique contrast between the oasis and the surrounding arid landscape is a major draw. While access to certain areas like the pond can be limited and parking is often roadside, the free admission and stunning natural scenery make it a highly recommended stop.
"Coachella Valley Preserve is a treasure off the beaten path outside Palm Springs. A hurricane has damaged the preserve's board walk loop that had been a main attraction. However, what remains is still worth a stop. We hiked up one of the trails that overlooks the area. It was a nice one hour stop to see these palm trees that look like they are some how prehistoric and feels like a scene straight out of Jurassic Park."

"Gad a great time hiking. Euphoria Simone pond was open as well as visitor center"
Rose Saundèrs
"Limited hours be sure to look it up. Especially the pond - which is really cool. Its a 1 mile hike there. So smaller kids could be tough. Sandy walk. Never see any snakes or wildlife. But very cool oasis!!!! The trailhead parking lot always seems closed so you have to park on the highway...which is fine."
