Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the monument's breathtaking mountain views and the informative, welcoming visitor center with knowledgeable rangers. The accessible trails are a plus for easy exploration, though some note the visitor center can sometimes be closed, impacting facility access. It's a beautiful escape close to the city, offering a connection with nature.

"I went there early in the day during the week. The parking lot fills up fast, but there is still plenty of room for cars. The visitor center was closed, which meant one of the lots was blocked off and no restrooms.

Now for the positive, what a beautiful place. Tons of hiking and breathtaking views all around. Close enough to the city, but far enough away that you can really enjoy the environment and beauty of the park.

Also a great place to setup for a Parks on the Air ("POTA") activation, if you're a ham radio person."

"Passport stamp is available at the visitor center at the counter. Gorgeously held in the beautiful mountains with a beautiful view of the valley."

"Starting on our way back East on our cross country trip with a visit to this national monument. Very nice visitor center. Informative and welcoming, the park rangers were very knowledgeable and suggested trails to visit. In our walk we spotted so many humming birds!! There is an area for a turtle, but we did not see it (even though a veggie lunch was laid out for its enjoyment).
Accessible, wide paved pathways. Bathrooms and a gift shop. Plenty of parking."
