Mauna Lahilahi Point is praised for its challenging yet rewarding short hike and spectacular panoramic views of the west coast. Visitors appreciate the adventurous rock climbing aspect and the historical petroglyphs found on the summit. However, some find the initial trail navigation tricky and note the lack of facilities.
"Literally a short rock climb to the top and enjoying the views of Makaha town side in Waianae. It’s short but can count as a moderate hike due to the moutain rock incline to get there but once you’re at the top you see the left/right view of the westside. 🤙 👍"

"I put some notes in my photos to get you though this easier. I took a right the first time and ended up with the locals and i think in someone living room. They are so nice bless there heart's. But overall great hike to get your adrenaline pumping, with great views all around. No need for a stick it's more of a hassle on this hike. Because you are going up and down and it's fairly short.. but bring water, sun screen, hat, gloves, and wear pants if you can chapstick and tissues. Being up that high with the wind. Your nose just start running and your lips get chaped. Pants for the thorns see my pictures. I hope this helps you out and have a great day."

"Challenging hike but the views are amazing! Takes about 30 minutes to climb round trip. There are two challenging spots. You should be in good physical condition to attempt this hike.
You do have to walk through a sketchy area (some people rodeo camping). The trail starts on the middle left pathway. If you take the left fork, it will take you to the rocky coastline. You’ll want to backtrack and find the middle trail
The trail is very narrow closer to the top (it is a ridge).
Very exciting hike. Off the beaten road for sure
At the top there is just a concrete slab 12 inches x 20 inches where it looks like a flag pole can be inserted."
