Robins AFB, Georgia

I got stationed at Robins AFB for my first base after Tech School. What’s it like over there? Dorm living conditions, In-base and Out-base places to go to? Is it fun or boring over there?

Commissary/base access denied for spouse

I was just told by Keesler AFB visitor center that has of Dec 2nd 2024, only the veteran is allowed on base. So for those of us who don’t drive, but our spouse isn’t a va caregiver. We no longer have access approved veteran benefits. Anyone else heard this?

Reviews Summary

Visitor experiences at the Warner Robins Depot and Welcome Center are highly varied. While some commend the efficiency and politeness of certain staff members in processing passes, others report significant issues with rudeness and a lack of clarity regarding procedures. Wait times can be considerable, and preparedness with all necessary documentation is crucial for a smoother visit. Reddit

"Came in today to get a caregiver pass, which is actually called a "designated Agent" pass. I was not aware of that, nor did I get the impression that the staff were very clear as to what it was. However, the young man who came out of the back office ( medium height, light brown hair) was extremely helpful, sent us to the " DEER" office and that office knew exactly what I was needing, took our information, and forms of ID and processed what we needed in a very timely manner. Then back to the visitors center for our needed ID. I found the process to be quite efficient and the persons who we delt with to be extremely polite and helpful."

"I explained to SMALL that my husband and I had driven over two hours and that I have health issues and need my updated ID for my doctor appointments. The other Officer was more than happy to print my new ID since I had my old one. She told him no after he explained that it would only take a few minutes. She was nasty and rude and told me to drive back the next day and use my benefits number. I’ve never been treated like that in over 24 years of getting ID’s. So sad. The visitors office was great. The ID office building 767 was where the lady was beyond rude."

Follicle Potion

"Went to get a caregivers pass staff in visitors center have no clue what that is. Multiple staff air people answering same question at same time are very rude confrontational with big egos to fill all with smart replies have no idea what the process is. They need an in service both for what a care givers pass is and in customer service is. As a military brat I’ve never seen such rude service members in my life. Especially the Caucasian woman who was very mouthy. As a Facility Administrator for years in the public sector if my staff acted as rude as this staff I would fire them all. Interrupting conversations speaking over others yelling across the room at me because she assumed I was leaving thru a locked door when in fact I was getting my 85 year old mother. Then when my remark was see she thinks I’m leaving thru the locked door she hollers EXCUSE ME what a poor example of an Air Force member. The person in charge whoever that was probably the one with Patrick on his uniform was not much better."
