"Olde Rope Mill Park in Woodstock is a hidden gem that offers both history and natural beauty. The trails wind through shaded forest paths along Little River, with plenty of spots to stop and enjoy the water. You’ll find peaceful stretches of riverbank, small creeks, and even butterflies and wildflowers in the open clearings.
One of the highlights is the old Rope Mill ruins. The stone foundations and canals are still visible, and walking through them gives you a glimpse of Woodstock’s industrial past. The nearby bridge and train trestle make for some great views and photo spots too, especially looking down over the river.
There’s also graffiti art on the bridge supports, which adds a colorful and unexpected contrast to the natural setting. Between the history, the trails, and the water access, it’s a great place for a walk, a hike, or just relaxing outdoors.
If you’re in Woodstock, this park is definitely worth a visit. It combines local history, riverside scenery, and a sense of discovery all in one place."

"This is such a lovely park and a great find. What a pleasant surprise to visit here an evening of a business trip and unwind, walk and see the beautiful Little River and fish a little while. We did not have a chance to walk the trail to the falls, or any of the other trails besides the short stroll beside the river, as they were closed on that day and we didn't have much time, but I feel certain they are wonderful and would love to another time. Greatly enjoyed our visit here."
