Apple Picking Farms
I want to go apple picking with my boyfriend but I'm not sure which one to go to. Growing up I would go to one, but I don't remember the name of it. I feel like it might have been in the Franklin MA area, and I know it had goats that you could pay like 50 cents to feed through…
Apple picking in northern RI?
Fall is here, so it's apple-picking time! We make apple pies and apple sauce and eat two or three a day while they last. In past years we have gotten really good apples at Jaswells Farm in Smithfield (http://www.jaswellsfarm.com); we love it there. The Big Apple in Wrentham,…

Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Big Apple Farm for its breathtaking hilltop apple picking, delicious cider slushies, and warm, welcoming staff. Many cherish it as a long-standing fall tradition. However, the recent news of its impending closure has cast a shadow over its future, leaving many saddened by the potential loss of this beloved New England gem.
"It's fall in New England and that means it's apple time. I work for a company that does horse-drawn rides and we did an event here. This beautiful farm makes me so happy. The overlooks are breathtaking and the fact that you're picking delicious apples on a hilltop under a beautiful blue sky while looking across valleys on both sides of you, simply can't be topped. If that was all The Big Apple had going for it, that would be enough, but wait there's more.
After weighing all those mouth-watering apples you just picked, you can stop by the store on your way out. Make sure that you get some cider slushy, it will blow your mind. I actually stopped talking to my friends until I finished it because it was that good. They have many different pies, pre-picked apples, jellies and jams, along with all sorts of heavenly backed goods. I recommend the Heavenly Jam, it makes a killer PB&J.
I'm pretty choosy about who I do business with and I can personally attest that the owners are warm, wonderful people who take care of their employees and take their farm very seriously.
No matter where you live in New England, I promise you that The Big Apple is worth the drive, it's a very special place. I had a moment last weekend where I looked up at the sky, closed my eyes and smelled the apples, and the grass and trees. I listened to all of the happy families experiencing apple picking, some for the first time, our horse chuffed while she snacking and I realized how happy I was to be there."

"Just spent the most amazing day picking fresh berries at the Big Apple farm in Wrentham!!
The blueberries this year are huge! And the apricots...don't get me started."

"Fun time with family. The farm stand had many nice options including Carmel wraps to make caramel apple, apple cider, apple cider donuts. They also have items like hot peppers and other usual farm stand items. Out in the orchard they had all the different apple trees labeled. Unfortunately the honeycrisp apples had passed peak by the time we got there but there are plenty of other options. Prices weren't bad either, You can get a big bag of apples for 40$ a smaller bag for 20$, so All in all the good time."
