UNVEILED: A monumental Jesus sculpture arrives by sea. Towering above the crowds, the bronze-clad figure was transported into place after years of work, its bowed head and crown of thorns casting a solemn presence over the waterfront. Crews and onlookers alike described the unveiling as “a moment of reverence and awe,” with many saying it felt less like construction and more like revelation.

Getting to the top is quite the journey! Christ the King in Vung Tau, Vietnam is actually almost the same height as Christ the Redeemer in Brazil. The statue in Brazil does not allow tourists to actually enter the inside. In Vietnam, there are viewing platforms on Christ’s shoulders. The journey is a tight one as many of the places you need to squeeze through are quite narrow. I’ll be posting th...

"🌟 Christ the King Statue - Vũng Tàu
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An iconic spiritual and scenic landmark! The climb to the top is worth every step — around 800 stairs, but shaded by trees and with rest stops along the way. Once you reach the statue, you're rewarded with incredible panoramic views of the ocean and the city below.

The statue itself is majestic, standing 32 meters tall, with arms outstretched. If you're appropriately dressed (long pants and covered shoulders), you can go inside the statue and climb a narrow spiral staircase up to the arms — a unique experience with unforgettable photo ops.

💡 Tips:

Dress modestly to enter the statue.

Bring water for the hike.

Best to go early morning or late afternoon to avoid heat.

Free entry, but donations welcome.

A must-visit in Vũng Tàu whether you're spiritual or just love nature, views, and history."

"Visited on 20 August late morning as part of my Vung Tau tour.

Took around 800 steps to climb up to see the Jesus Christ Statue. Great workout, spent around 20 minutes to climb up.

It is very narrow to climb up the shoulders of the statue, might be tough for those who are a bit bigger size. Need to take off your shoes before climbing up, they will give you a locker to keep your shoes."
