13. WhatsApp Messaging

When a travel agency connects its WhatsApp Business number to Airial, we receive and store the messages exchanged between the agency and its travellers through that number. This includes the traveller's WhatsApp phone number, their WhatsApp profile name, the content of messages sent and received (including voice notes), and delivery status.

We use this data only to deliver these conversations on behalf of the agency that owns the number, and to show that agency its own conversations inside our product. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

We share it with the service providers that operate our platform: Microsoft Azure (hosting), MongoDB Atlas (storage), Anthropic (to generate replies) and OpenAI (to transcribe voice notes). They process it only on our instructions.

We keep WhatsApp messages for as long as the agency that owns the number keeps its Airial account active, or as long as they are needed to provide the service, resolve disputes or meet our legal obligations. When an agency closes its account, we delete its WhatsApp messages unless we are required by law to keep them. Travellers can ask the agency to delete their messages, or email privacy@airial.travel, and we will delete them within 30 days.
