Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the breathtaking views, especially from Holmes Peak, and the beautiful coastal scenery at McKenzie Bight. The park offers a good variety of trails for different fitness levels, and the unexpected cell reception is a bonus. Some reviewers noted that trail signage could be improved, and certain sections can be slippery.

"Be sure to stop by the viewpoints everywhere. Finding the hidden swing is part of hiking. The view of the sea from the top is fantastic. Although I went on a snowy day, I admired the mysterious view. There are some slippery sections, so be careful. There are various hiking trails, so you can go several times."

"Relatively easy hike down hill from the parking area, and an uphill return. Nice wide pathways. Hike opens up to the large beach, best to keep heading to the right for good areas to explore. Lots for small Coves with abundant fishlife. Great views across the inlet to the malahat skywalk. On the day we went the water was perfect for paddle boarding and taking a dip."

Stirling Gordon

"Yet another gorgeous area in B.C. to spend a day exploring. The hike to the top isn’t not overly difficult and can be done by most people. There are plenty of good spots with a view for a picnic once you reach the high points, and there are also plenty of branches you can take to extend your hike further if you like. Absolutely beautiful spot to spend a sunny day."
