"The most special beach we've ever been to. Sparkling black sand, pleasant water, and plenty of comfortable areas to sit and relax, even with a car."
Gaya Alfandary
"Easily one of the coolest beaches I've ever been to. I can't believe it's not more of tourist hotspot. There's not even a fee for parking! We just parked on the side of the road and walked up. The sand is not only totally black but also extremely soft and feels great on your feet. It's slightly metallic and shiny as well. I spent hours drawing things in it. It's more of a wading than swimming beach due to rip tides but absolutely worth a short walk or drive from Puerto Viejo."
Amanda Blake
"Beautiful stretch of beach with black sand and pure Caribbean vibes. But be careful: some areas have strong currents – not ideal for inexperienced swimmers. There are spots with water rescue equipment available."
