What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise War Photo Limited for its powerful and moving collection of war photography, particularly highlighting the Balkan Wars exhibits. Many find it an essential stop for historical context and a testament to photojournalists' bravery. While the content is somber, it's considered deeply informative and worthwhile, though some wish captions were more conveniently placed.
"An excellent war photojournalism gallery featuring bravery photojournalists covering different important wars. I was glad that I learnt about this gallery in a travel brochure and made it in my first day in Old Town. I highly recommend everyone visiting Old Town the first time to stop by this gallery first before visiting the rest of the attractions. The photos of the wars, especially what Dubrovnik had gone through, definitely set the tone to the rest of my days in town and I thought about those who fought fearlessly for justice and innocents. My respect to the soldiers and the photojournalists!
As cliche as it sounds, photo speaks a thousand words. Thanks for the curation!"

"Small museum with war pictures.
Take a little time to reflect on the horrors of wars that Croatia, Kosovo, Serbia and Bosnia had to face in these past decades. It wasn’t so pleasant in the sense of a fun time, but it was very informative about the history of the conflicts and it’s an important moment not to forget that Dubrovnik it’s not only beaches and game of thrones.
The pictures are sad but beautiful.
10 euros the entrance. It is worth it."

"Really good exhibition of quality photos depicting the grim reality of conflict. The current content is of the war in Burma as well as the permanent display of the Balkan wars in the 90s. A worthwhile but slightly depressing way to spend an hour or two. You get a discount if you have a Dubrovnik pass."
