This was honestly such an incredible deal! If you plan your time out well you can see a bunch of different sites for that price. Make sure to start on the city walls nice and early and make your way to whatever other sites you’re interested in seeing that’s included. It also includes public transportation! Dubrovnik is definitely the most expensive city in Croatia so it was nice to save money and ...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Rector's Palace for its historical significance and architectural beauty, particularly its courtyard and furnished rooms. The availability of a free, informative audio guide app is frequently highlighted as a major plus, significantly enhancing the visitor experience. While some find the exhibits varied, others note that the palace offers a concise yet impactful glimpse into Dubrovnik's past.

"Buy the Dubrovnik Pass, it pays for the old city wall walk at 40 Euros, and you get access to many museums and attractions. Rector's Palace is one of them, right in the heart of the old city. We really enjoyed the beautiful courtyard and staircases. There's a few levels and things to see in the Palace, likely won't take more than 30min."

Mat Bienczyk

"Rector’s palace is a must see in Dubrovnik old town.
You get the chance to see probably the most historical building in the city and learn a lot about the history and the culture of the city.

What most people don’t know and they don’t advertise it in the museum is that you can download the free IOS app of the museum and it has an amazing audio guide in Croatian and English.

Our experience was so much better due to the audio guide and we have noticed many things that we would otherwise miss.

Definitely check it out if you are in the city and make sure you buy the Dubrovnik city pass before hand since the entrance of the palace is included."

Nefeli Papa

"Just to note, the Rector's Palace and Cultural-Historical museum are one and the same place. The museum is inside the palace.
A great & varied collection of things here. Starting with a collection of religious art you move on to portrait paintings of celebrated citizens of Dubrovnik. Then a collection of stoneworks and old wood/iron chests for storage if valuables. Don't miss the display on the ground floor of b&w photos from the war years of 1991/92.
Follow the stairs upto rooms on the first floor for a fine collection of furnishings and paintings. Includes the well known oil painting "The Rape of the Sabine Women" by Pietro da Cortona."
