What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ain Khudra Oasis is a beautiful natural spring offering a refreshing green escape in the Sinai desert, praised for its unique ecosystem and Bedouin hospitality. However, some visitors feel it has become overly commercialized, with high prices for refreshments and persistent sales pitches detracting from the original tranquil experience.
"What used to be an oasis where you felt like a traveller guest, you now enter the next tourist trap. No peaceful lunch without sales people begging you to "buy one".
The vegetarian lunch is way overpriced and made me decide to never have lunch there again.
The true feeling of the desert has left Ain Khudra.
Sad!"

"It was a really nice surprise seeing small oasis runs by Bedouins at the very end of the white canyon. Great place with refreshments, like soda, water and tea. Of course you need to pay, but it's totally worth it and, apart from that you support somehow local community. If you like, you can do the trade here, buy something from Bedouins for couple of dollars, like neckless, bracelets and other jewelry, probably not hand made, saw the same things on the market in Dahab. Oasis makes big impression, they have water, it's managed to be collected in one "tank", houses they built for themselves and all area is surrounded by a kind of so called fence."
