"True travel through time as you enter the castle doors. You can feel the deep connection with the Middle Ages and the ways of life in that castle. There is a rich presentation of the rooms and l their decors based on the era. In addition to the unbelievable gorgeous view of the hills around since you are on top of the mountain. A fantastic must-see, in my opinion"

"I think it's one of the best preserved castles I have ever seen. Absolutely worth a visit! The mountain ridge is 757m and the castles defense towers are 65m high. Fantastic panoramic views over Alsace."

"If you only have time for one Chateau around Colmar/Strasbourg, I think this should be one of the top choices. As it was quite fully restored at the start of the last century, it feels complete to visit, while still maintaining the historical feel. Fantastic panoramic view of the entire region from the top. The castle is cordoned in a way to facilitate walking through in a single path. You can enjoy the entire place slowly within 2 hours, plus some time in the surrounding greenery. A quick visit can be done within 1 hour. It's currently undergoing some restorations at the front but doesn't affect much. Parking is available along the road up to the entrance - it can be a long uphill walk if you park far. Recommended to buy tickets online to avoid the ticket counter queue. Toilets are available at the ticket counter."
