Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking panoramic views of Hong Kong from The Peak, especially at night. Many highlight the free viewpoints like the Lion's Pavilion and Lugard Road Lookout as excellent alternatives to paid attractions. However, some find the Peak Tram queues excessively long and the Sky Terrace 428 overpriced.

"Such a beautiful spot for appreciating the skyline of Hong Kong, at day or at night. It's just a couple of minutes walk from where the tram leaves you, and inlike the Sky Terrace, this is free to access and the view is just as nice. It gets very busy which is understandable."

Caterina Bassano

"Lion's Point View Pavilion is a free multiple-level viewpoint only a minute's walk from the Peak Tower, located on Findlay Rd, The Peak. This is a popular viewing area with two levels available. It can be very busy at times, especially on weekends and holidays. The views available from these vantage points are beautiful day or night. Best of all is there is no charge for this viewing area. It's a great spot to get a sweeping view of Hong Kong island, Victoria Harbour and across to the Kowloon Peninsula. In the evening the city lights paint a spectacular scene that begs to be captured by a camera or your cell phone. It is named for the Lion's Club, which paid for its construction in 1976. After you enjoyed the panoramic view of the skyscrapers, take the time to appreciate the Lions Pavilion itself. Built in traditional Chinese style, the pavilion features all the traditional elements, including stone lions, moon arches, and green tiles. Every detail counts. The Lions Pavilion is just one of nine throughout Hong Kong donated by the Hong Kong Lion Club. The club's name symbolizes perseverance and is reminiscent of the Lion Rock across the harbour. Each pavilion has its unique nuances and built in traditional style."

Doug Ho

"Great place to take a pictures of the city of Hong Kong. Elevation is about 400m above sea level. There is a shopping centre, where restaurants and souvenirs are available. To get there you can use tram or there is good pathways to go up if you prefer to hike."
