It’s home to rare animals like the Lion-Tailed Macaque, along with deer, leopards, and many colorful birds. The lush greenery and calm atmosphere make it perfect for nature lovers and photographers. The Linganamakki Reservoir inside the sanctuary adds to its scenic beauty.
You can enjoy forest walks, bird watching, and peaceful moments near the water. The roads are scenic but a bit rough in some parts, so drive carefully. The best time to visit is from October to February, when the weather is pleasant.

"I took the Sharavathi Reserved Forest route from Sigandur to Bhatkal and it was magical. The fresh air, lush greenery all around, foggy weather topped with slight rains made this drive worthwhile. Completely enjoyed the nature all around and this is one of the best routes that I have driven across in a while. We also spotted a Fox, a wild Hen and a few other wild creatures on the road. Totally worth a visit here."
