What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Arikady Fort Kumbla is a historically significant site with scenic views, praised for its quiet atmosphere and convenient highway access. However, visitors consistently note its poor state of maintenance, lack of signage, and minimal facilities, suggesting it's best for a brief visit by those interested in heritage.
"The fort has great heritage value but sadly there are no signboards, no information displays, and no maintenance at all. The approach road has lots of grass and overgrowth, and the path to the fort feels abandoned.
However, the fort itself sits on a small hill offering nice views of the surroundings and gives a glimpse into Kerala’s ancient history. It’s quiet, uncrowded, and can still be interesting for heritage lovers or photographers but it definitely needs better upkeep and attention from the authorities."
