Reviews Summary

Pangarh Lake Retreat offers a tranquil escape with unique accommodations and a focus on wellness and local cuisine. While many guests rave about the serene lake views, attentive staff, and rejuvenating atmosphere, some have experienced disappointment with lake water levels and cleanliness in certain areas. It's a place that promises a peaceful connection with nature, though managing expectations regarding seasonal variations is key.

"Set in the serene Vindhyachal Ranges beside a lotus-studded lake, Pangarh Lake Retreat is a peaceful gem for those seeking nature and rejuvenation. The architecture—ranging from elegant wooden chalets to tent rooms and treehouse cottages—opens onto gorgeous lake views that invite deep breaths and silent awe.

The wellness offerings here are rich and thoughtful—yoga sessions in a lakeside shala, Ayurvedic meals made from fresh, home-grown ingredients, and opportunities to explore nearby villages or take a quiet boat ride. The stone-style swimming pool and outdoor fireplaces only amplify the retreat’s charm.

Guests consistently praise the staff’s warmth and attentiveness. One solo traveler shared how each sunrise, accompanied by a chai and birdsong, felt like a personal gift. Another family highlighted the comfort of their lakeside room and the soothing atmosphere.

There are small drawbacks: the site still feels under development in places, and the restaurant is basic. Some found service slightly uneven. But for every little hiccup, the setting, the stillness, and the thoughtful design make up for it."

"The Pangrah Lake Retreat was an amazing life changing experiences. The care to the attention for detail, dedication to guests’s delight, a wide variety of authenticity locally sourced food (vegetarian and none vegetarian) and log cabin accommodations were all delightful treats. Embark on this adventure only if you are ready to enjoy unique lake side luxury - pool, spa, and paramount relaxation.🧘🏾‍♂️ The Pangarh Lake Retreat awaits. I will cherish my 2025 memories and I will look forward to making new memories in the years to come. Hats off to the intentional low carbon footprint for all of the building construction and waste - a good earth citizen 🌏"

"Keeping in mind lake retreat, we wished a lake full of water, jetty, wellness spa, luxury rooms, all as illustrated online, so we were there. To our utmost disappointment, rooms were not clean, resort was full of garbages. Lake no where, only a pond of mud, old jetty anchored since last 4-5 years I think. No wellness spa. Felt fooled by the so called false illusion. Original pic shows all. Waste of money"
