Unusual places in your county?

I'm looking for weekend trip ideas for the winter. Just wondering what unusual or off-the-beaten-path locations are in your county? For example I visited a Soutterain in Roscommon yesterday and loved it.

Haroldstown Dolmen is a captivating ancient portal tomb, praised for its mystical atmosphere and impressive stone arrangement, especially the massive capstone. Visitors appreciate its historical significance and the dramatic reveal upon approach. However, access can be challenging due to it being on private land, requiring a climb over a wall, and parking is very limited and can be tricky.

"Looked very cool for photos on a sunny, frosty day. Had go climb over a gate to walk up to it and there's not really any space for parking (I parked my car in front of a gate). Worth stopping to take a look if you pass it but not worth a special trip to see."

Samuel King

"Great feature but nowhere to park or even abandon a car safely, hence only four stars.

This dolmen is on private land and you need to climb over a low wall to get anywhere near it. Often called a portal tomb, because it looks like a doorway, the dolmen is estimated to be at least 3000 years old and could in fact be a lot older."

Fergal Jennings

"Magic! I love this Dolmen for so many reasons. How mystical and ancient it is. How beautiful and how impressive the arrangement of stones are. I'm fascinated by the effort it must have taken to raise that beautiful and HUGE capstone above the multiple standing stones.
Most of all I love the setting. It's really magical how it just hits you smack on the face as you approach it from either direction. I'll never forget the first time I visited this Dolmen almost 30 years ago and coming around the bend as I approached from the Carlow side. My instant reaction was, "wow, wow, wow, wow, that's so cool!"."
