Reviews Summary
Atrani Beach is praised for its authentic Italian charm, clear waters, and less crowded atmosphere compared to other Amalfi Coast destinations. Visitors appreciate the picturesque setting and the option of a free public beach, though some note the lack of facilities and limited parking. It's a beloved spot for those seeking a genuine coastal experience.
"Lovely black sand and pebbles beach with clear water in an amazing setting. Not crowded at all and no sunbeds / umbrellas at the end of May. Everything about this beach has an authentic Italian vibe and we loved every second we stayed here.
There are several caffes around where you can buy drinks and food and take them to the beach (PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF!)
There are public parking spaces right near the beach but we couldn't find any avaliabke spots, so we parked in a private parking on the main road."

"Beautiful beach in Atrani, You have both options here — a free public beach and a private beach club if you prefer more comfort. Just a small tip: the public beach doesn’t have bathrooms or changing rooms, so keep that in mind. If you need facilities, you can walk about 10 minutes to the Amalfi beach area where there’s a public WC. Perfect spot to relax and enjoy the sea"

"This is a beautiful FREE clear water beach with SAND within walking distance to Amalfi. This was our first day here and we didn’t want to pay for the beach beds and umbrellas at the resorts. This beach has a free beach area with mostly Italian locals and the area is just as good as the paid beach clubs. It’s around a 7 to 10 minute walk from Amalfi downtown. You get to walk through the tunnel, so it’s actually a cool and pleasant walk. The water is not too deep and gradually gets more deep. Here is how you will find elevate your beach experience. 1. Across the street from the beach there is a restaurant that has incredibly good pizza called “Le Palma”, get a take out pizza from there. 2. While waiting for the pizza, go into the plaza and get fruits and drinks from the small market. 3. Enjoy your pizza on the beach, eat your fruits, and cool off with a nice drink before jumping back into the ocean."
