What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Marmore Falls is widely praised for its breathtaking beauty and the sheer power of the water, especially when released at full capacity. However, visitors frequently mention that the ticket prices, along with extra charges for amenities, feel a bit steep. A significant concern is the safety of metal steps on trails, which have proven dangerous for dogs, leading to injuries.
"A stunning spot and well worth the visit, especially during the hours when the waterfall is at its fullest - it’s truly breathtaking. However, if you’re bringing dogs, please be extra cautious. We’ve hiked all over Europe with our two adventure dogs, including many trails with metal steps, but the ones here are particularly dangerous. Unfortunately, both of our dogs got injured, and one ended up at the emergency vet, it’ll take about three months to fully recover. If you’re planning a visit with dogs, I strongly recommend carrying them over these sections. Just a heads-up so others don’t go through the same."

"Paid parking, entrance to the small trail is paid for an artificial waterfall. Would not recommend visiting out of your way."

👨👩👧 Families with Kids
While the visitor center offers some information, the main attraction is the natural (albeit artificial) spectacle. Packing snacks and drinks is a good idea, as on-site food options might be limited. Be prepared for the mist, which can make the air cool and damp, so a light jacket is recommended for everyone.
🐾 Pet Owners
If you do bring your dog, ensure they have excellent grip on their paws and be vigilant. The mist can also make the environment damp and potentially uncomfortable for some pets. For a stress-free experience, consider leaving your furry friends at your accommodation.
💰 Budget Travelers
Opting for public transport from Terni can be cheaper than driving, but requires more planning due to potentially infrequent bus schedules. Researching bus routes and times in advance is key. Visiting on a weekday might also offer a slightly less crowded experience, though prices remain the same.
