What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Torregaveta Beach is praised for its authentic, local atmosphere and shallow, family-friendly waters. Visitors appreciate the easy train access from Naples and the beautiful sunset views. However, some note that the beach can get a bit dirty in the afternoon and caution about rough seas.
"You can access this beach by taking the Cumana train from the Montesanto S.E.P.S.A. station in Naples and getting off at the last stop. A great beach for children to swim, swim and play water sports. Can walk in shallow water for about 50 meters. You too can enjoy a good sunbath with clean water for free."

"Great place for short hangouts"

"I visited the small public beach near the mountain: a beautiful seaside spot frequented almost exclusively by locals. You can rent lounge chairs and umbrellas from a friendly man who, obviously, doesn't have a permit. My only regret is the state of this stretch of shoreline, which unfortunately falls victim to uncivilized people who feel compelled to abandon their waste despite the recycling bins.
One word of caution: beware of rough seas, which can cover almost the entire shoreline, especially when the ferry passes by, docking a couple of times a day right on the nearby pier.
Parking is available a few meters from the pier. There are a few equipped beach resorts you'll have to pass before reaching the public beach."
