Reviews Summary

Mount Hashikami is praised for its well-maintained trails, beautiful summit views, and the unique tranquility of its shaded forest paths, perfect for forest bathing. Visitors also appreciate the surprisingly clean facilities. Some find the longer trails to be a bit of a 'road walk' with less dramatic scenery compared to other hikes.

"Great hike with multiple trails and start points. Starting from the base of the mountain trail (parking at the Forest Pia center or other multiple parking lots), it took about 2 1/2 hours up and only 1 down at an easy pace. You can also drive further up the mountain and park and start there. At the end of May, the azaleas were not blooming yet, but the hike is still beautiful and there’s a great view at the top."

"Nice easy hike, mostly shade, great views of the mountains to the Pacific Ocean. Also very well maintained trail and the absolute cleanest restrooms I’ve ever encountered in the outdoors with a spring fed fountain to freshen up. Pic is where I parked and started from 1 hour to the top from here at a relaxed pace."

Sam Leos

"Honestly just OK, would have skipped and done an extra day in Hachinohe on the MCT had I known it would just be a long road walk with mediocre views"
