Ito Jakuchu's Animal and Plant Color Paintings are on display. They are truly magnificent, but these are reproductions. The originals are stored at the Imperial Palace."

"I was pleased by the variety here for a museum of a small city and prefecture like Saga. This museum had a lot of interesting exhibits showing artifacts and the cultural history of Saga as well as a selection of quite good paintings by Saga-based artists both in Western styles and in traditional Japanese styles. Most exhibits are only in Japanese but that’s not a big deal. Definitely worth a visit."
