Mt. Talinis offers a memorable and rewarding hiking experience, with many praising the beautiful scenery and the sense of accomplishment. While challenging, the support of guides and fellow hikers makes it manageable and enjoyable. Some find the descent treacherous and caution against the strong sulfur smells, but overall, the natural beauty and the adventure are highly appreciated.
"My first hike at Mt. Talinis was such a memorable experience. I joined a group organized by Sir Emman, and I was actually the only girl—but I never once felt out of place. We had three guides with us, which made the whole adventure much easier and more enjoyable. Because of their support, I didn’t really feel the hike was that hard at all.
The scenery along the trail was beautiful, from the mossy forests to the cool mountain air, and every moment felt worth it. It was the kind of hike that makes you appreciate nature even more. Overall, it was absolutely worth it, and an experience I’m really happy I took on."

"Breathtaking views at the top. The Bidjao trail was quite challenging and my right knee started hurting on the way down. The short climb from the camp to the summit was very steep."

"I climbed Mt Talinis Aug 1 and was very lucky to have perfect weather conditions. Just a day hike so it was too tiring for me to summit… I’ll have to come back to do a nice two day hike to really enjoy and this time hopefully summit!
Thanks to my guide Glecerio Chris D. Gonzalez for the safe trip, for lending me some gear 😅 (impromptu climb so I was unprepared), for good humor, and for his patience while I took a 1 hour nap at the lake campsite after lunch.

Warning: the sulfur smells bad. When you get to the sulfur area please be careful not to inhale it too much!! Gave me a headache.
Warning 2: going down is treacherous I thought it would never end but it did and I got home on time✌️
Warning 3: make sure to bring food that doesn’t spoil easily. My lunch spoiled 😢"
