What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Liznjek House for its excellent value, particularly the informative and engaging guided tours often included with the very low entrance fee. The preserved traditional home offers a fascinating glimpse into 18th-19th century Slovenian life. While most experiences are positive, a few note the importance of bringing cash as cards are not accepted and one visitor mentioned a less-than-ideal initial interaction with staff.
"The tour was excellent! The guide spoke for about 45 minutes and provided detailed and insightful information—all for free. Although there is a small entrance fee of €2.50, it's really appreciated that the guided tour was included at no extra cost. A great value and very informative experience!"

"A nice local museum out of family home from 17. century with cute small gift shop. A legacy handed down in family with sad ending. Definetly recommend visiting. Please note that, they accept only cash."
Laura K
"As you enter there is a room to your left where you purchase a ticket, and right in front of you some brochures on a stand.
I walked all of half a metre towards the brochures, taking about five seconds, and was shouted at "You can't just walk around, you have to buy an entrance ticket!"
Now the staff may be used to people thinking the museum is free, or to visitors trying to get out of buying a ticket, but a polite reminder rather than the full telling off might have been in order for my half-metre stray (not really "walking around"!)
Unsurprisingly the experience put me off and I didn't visit, which is a pity as from other reviews the exhibits seem very interesting."
