What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Eorimok Trail is praised for its accessible beauty and moderate challenge, offering stunning volcanic landscapes and a pleasant forest walk. While many enjoy the scenic views and the chance to see wildlife, some find the numerous steps and uneven terrain challenging, especially on the descent. Winter hikes are particularly magical but require careful preparation for icy conditions and early starts due to limited hours.
"It was our first time in Jeju and climbing Hallasan. We chose this trail which was moderately challenging. The parking was easy as we set out really early. And it was near the trail head which was well equipped with toilets.
The hike involved a lot of steps in the first half of the trail and that was quite challenging if you are not good with stairs. What was a bonus for us was that most of the trail was frosted over as if it had snowed the whole night. That added a lot to the charm of the trial as well as the difficulty.
By the time we got to the top, it was covered in ice. We were freezing as we did not account for the weather and did not dress warmly enough. There was a nice warm place at the top where we could eat the snacks we bought. There is nothing sold there.
The walk down was more challenging as the frost had melted and it was a lot of uneven rocks. So it can be hard on the knees. We took 2 hours 45 mins to reach the top and 2 hours to walk back. Good trail to try."

"Nice route that at its steep points is stairs and mostly covered by trees meaning it’s great for hiking upwards without overheating in the sun. We spotted wild deer as we ascended also"
