"Beautiful island. Great for nature and adventure lovers. Its quite an easy trek though.
There's a place right at the entrance where you can buy king coconuts if thirsty.
Some historical landmarks are there and if you've read the book, the visit might take you back in time and enable you to relate to some of the components of the book."

"The location has a story related to Madhvaja, which is mentioned in a book by Mahatma Gandhi. If you’ve read the book, visiting this place will bring many of those memories to life.
It’s a small island, and for me, many parts of the book came back to mind during the visit. The place is truly amazing. You reach it by boat — in 2025, the cost is Rs. 2,000 for a one-way ride. If you want to go around the island as well, it’s an additional Rs. 500, making it Rs. 2,500 per boat (for up to 6 people).
The boat ride from the mainland to the island takes less than 5 minutes. Once you’re on the island, you can spend about 30 minutes to 1 hour exploring. So in total, the whole trip takes around an hour."
